The Venetian Castle was destroyed and rebuilt many times over the centuries. It is located on the cape between the beach of Valtos and the port of Parga.It was built at the end of the 14th century by the Normans and then the Castle passed through various administrations due to changes regarding the geopolitical conditions in the Mediterranean. Venetians, Ottomans, French and English its next owners.The current image of the Castle is due to what the Venetians built in the 16th century as conquerors of Parga and the complementary works that Ali Pasha did when it passed into his hands.It was a unique and continuous refuge for Souliotes in their struggle against the Turks. They found shelter in the Castle and when they left Souli in 1819 together with the other Parginians they also left Epirus for good. A time when Parga was sold to Ali Pasha by the English. The sandy beach of Lychnos combines mountain with sea and it is surrounded by the olive groves of Parga. There is no nightlife in Lychnos and for those who prefer it they should go to the center of Parga. The Necromancy of Acheron is located in the village of Mesopotamos and is the most famous oracle in the ancient world. It was dedicated to the god of the Underworld. There was a belief that its location was the main entrance to the Underworld and life after death. The ancient Greeks visited the Oracle of the Dead as they believed that the dead are the ones who can predict the future.It is built on the top of a hill and it has unique architectural charecteristics. It consists of many different types of buildings and facilities and some parts of it are famous for their acoustics,It is one of the most important historical sites in the country.

Useful information ,The Necromancy is 20 km from the city of Parga , At a distance of one kilometer are the remains of the ancient city of Efyra,There is an entrance fee.

In addition to the enchanting beaches and nightlife, Preveza hides some surprises that are worth discovering.

An impressive sight that should not go unnoticed is the castle of Pantokrator and it is one of the castles built by Ali Pasha after he captured the city in 1807. It is located south of the city, at a distance of about 2 km from the center, on the sea , built at the entrance of Amvrakiko gulf for strategic reasons. Its original name was Ouge-Calais. It is also worth seeing the meeting point of the city. The reason for the Venetian Clock Tower, a characteristic building of Venetian style and architecture, with a height of about 13 meters.
